"Layers" with Roland Juno 60, Juno 106, JX-3P, SH-101, System 1, TR-808, TR-606, TR-8, MX-1, MSQ-100, MSQ-700, SBX-1, SDE-1000, TC Electronics T2, Alter Ego X4, and Zoom R24
In this song I wanted to 'layer' the song with different sounds from various synthesizers. First I started out the the JX-3P introduction on the 'Brass' patch with the TC Electronics T2 and Alter Ego X4 for effects. Then I started up the entire set up with the MX-1. I sync'd everything with the SBX-1. I used the Bass patch of the Juno 60 and pre-programmed all the riffs with the MSQ-700. I also added on the 'Harp' patch of the Juno 106 which I pre-programmed with the MSQ-100. I used the MX-1 to control when everything played during the song. I pre-programmed a simple snare, closed hi-hat, and open hi-hat on the TR-808 and put the snare through the SDE-1000 for a little effects. I pre-programmed the TR-606 for the Bass Drum sound. It was sync'd with the MSQ-100. I played the lead with the Roland SH-101 and JX-3P. I used the TR-8 for the hand clap and the System 1 for 'Engine' type sound. The video clips are from our family vacation to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. We went to English Bay Beach and picked up some seashells. It was really crowded. Great times.
